Seeing Israel in a New Light
Jewish National Fund Travel & Tours Offers Unique Missions to Israel

June 20, 2006 -- New York, NY -- Vacationers setting their sights on a trip to Israel need look no further than the Jewish National Fund (JNF) Travel & Tours Department.  With over 100 years of experience as caretaker of the land of Israel, JNF has played an integral role in Israel’s past and invites travelers to take part in her future on a JNF mission.

Nearly 2 million tourists visited Israel in 2005, a 26% increase from 2004 and a 79% increase from 2003.  To accommodate this upswing, JNF Travel & Tours offers an expansive selection of missions and trips to suit all travelers — from singles visiting Israel for the first time to families celebrating a bar mitzvah to seniors interested in volunteering.

“JNF missions allow you to see a side of Israel that other trips don't, going above and beyond the classic tourist experience,” said Sharon Freedman, JNF New England Zone Director.  “In addition to touring the entire country, our travelers meet with high-level Israeli officials and learn about JNF's work for the land and people of Israel by visiting reservoirs, security roads, emerging communities in the Negev, and other JNF projects.”

JNF offers all-inclusive 12-day tours departing monthly, special weekly 9-day tours, customized bar and bat mitzvah tours, and day trips.  A sampling of special missions and trips can be found below and at www.jnf.org/travel.
