Restoring Professional Baseball In Israel
After selling the family-owned business, Rose Art Industries, Mr. Rosen went on to found the Florida-based Triangle Financial Services in 2006, a sports and entertainment investment firm with a diverse portfolio of entertainment properties and international sports enterprises. As owner and Chairman of Triangle Financial Services, LLC, Mr. Rosen purchased the Maccabi Haifa Israeli professional basketball team in July of 2007. Under his leadership, Mr. Rosen revitalized the Maccabi Haifa, turning the team into a global brand.
The organization’s success on the court spurred the municipality of Haifa to complete a $20 million renovation project of the team’s Romema arena in 2012, which features one of the most beautiful basketball courts in Israel. In just five seasons as team owner, Maccabi Haifa won their first championship in 2013 in the franchise’s 60-year history, defeating perennial powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv. The club’s meteoric rise has earned Maccabi Haifa six finals appearances, and nine playoff appearances out of the last 13 seasons. Through strong ties to the NBA, Maccabi Haifa has played against the world’s best competition, having competed in 21 games against NBA teams over the past nine seasons - the most among all international basketball teams.
Rosen was an original investor in the Israel Baseball League, and has emerged as a leader in a group seeking to restore professional baseball to Israel after the first attempt in 2007. Rosen has been a staunch supporter of the Israel Association of Baseball (IAB) and has sponsored Team Israel in their historic World Baseball Classic runs as well as the upcoming Olympics in Toyko, Japan. His support for the construction of a the new Ra'anana Baseball Field has almost come to fruition as the field is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
In 2014, Mr. Rosen founded Maccabi Art, a Sports and Licensing consumer product company, based in Pembroke Park, Florida, which has secured global licenses for the most popular sports teams and leagues in the world, including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Tottenham FC, Liverpool, the NBA, MLB and NCAA.
