The mission of JNF-USA’s Small Communities Department is to engage Jewish communities of fewer than 5,000 people across the United States, fostering a strong, Zionist identity and deep connection to Israel. We build grassroots partnerships with individuals and organizations to advance JNF-USA’s vision of a secure, prosperous future for the land and people of Israel—supporting quality of life, economic growth, education, infrastructure, ecology, heritage, and the next generation.

A Venerable Veteran Remembered

In 1941, an unassuming thirteen-year-old Jewish girl from small-town America lied about her age to join the United States Air Force Auxiliary. When she passed away in 2020, her legacy would be felt from Virginia to Israel.
