Orange Country, CA., March 14, 2022 – Jewish National Fund-USA’s leadership is pleased to welcome Shlomit Jackson as the organization’s new Director in Orange County.
“I am thrilled and honored to take on this amazing role with Jewish National Fund-USA,” said Jackson. “I look forward to utilizing my experience in the Jewish community to broaden and deepen Orange County’s connection to the land and people of Israel. I feel a great sense of excitement and motivation in helping to support the important work of this great organization, which is very dear to who I am as an Israeli.”

Jackson’s professional experience spans many years of non-profit work, including over 11 years of experience working at the Alpert Jewish Community Center (AJCC), as well as years of service as a Jewish educator in various local temples and organizations. She also holds a Bachelor's of Arts from the School of Social Ecology in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine.
“Shlomit has served the Orange County and Long Beach Jewish communities with great distinction for many years,” said Jewish National Fund-USA Orange County Executive Director, Don Schlesinger. “Coupled with strong ties to her native Israel, Shlomit is the ideal choice to serve as our new Orange County Director.”
With the organization achieving a record-high $120 million national campaign in 2021, Jackson hopes to work towards an ever-greater 2022 result and believes with the return of international travel, more philanthropists in Orange County will be able to see the impact Jewish National Fund-USA is having in the Negev and Galilee with their own eyes.
“Nothing can replace traveling to Israel and seeing our philanthropic impact for yourself,” she said. “I know that many of us in Orange Country cannot wait to get back to our homeland, and I call on our community to make Israel your first destination when you next travel abroad.”
