ARAD Stands with Israel: Israel Resilience Campaign Activity

·       Absorbed evacuees from Gaza Border communities, helping them to keep safe and recover from the trauma of attacks – seeing their town populations doubling

·       Opened and operating kindergartens and elementary schools for displaced families

·       Providing activities for parents, children, and infants

·       Creating new security infrastructure to make displaced and traumatized families feel safe in the region

·       Providing all supplies and necessities that evacuated communities need, from food to linens to emotional support

ARAD: Everyday Work

To help bring new residents to the desert region in Arad, Jewish National Fund-USA is working to enhance its livability and convince young families to raise their children in the area. Right in the center of town, new visitors and potential residents will be drawn to the “wow factor” of the Arad Central Park and the Desert Edge Promenade, which will enhance quality of life in the area. An upgraded Music Conservatory and Higher Education Center will bring new opportunities for educational and cultural growth to the region as well.

Funding Opportunities

ARAD CENTRAL PARK ACTIVITIES: $1,800

Help fund recreational areas and activities in the Arad Central Park including playground equipment, green spaces, sports equipment, yoga and meditation classes.

DESERT EDGE PROMENADE:  $2,500

Help fund the development of the Desert Edge promenade including a state of the art performing arts center, handicap accessible paths, playground equipment, hiking and biking trails, picnic and rest areas, and professional tours.

ARAD HIGHER EDUCATION CENTER SCHOLARSHIPS:  $3,600

Support the scholarship fund for Arad’s higher education program focusing on computer science and cyber technology, and guarantees employment in Arad.

ARAD MUSIC CONSERVATORY SCHOLARSHIPS:  $5,000

Provides music scholarships for one year.
