JNF-USA has been running Alternative Break trips to Israel for over 18 years! We have brought 3,000 college students and young adults ages 18-24 to get their hands dirty while making a difference for the land and people of Israel!
Overview of the Trip:
Each day of the trip is comprised of volunteering, touring, education, and independent time in the evenings and on Shabbat.
Included with acceptance on the trip: $1,800 stipend towards your flight to Israel, accommodations, and most meals.
Volunteering Highlights:
- Meet with Israelis, soldiers, survivors, and influential figures to hear their stories, firsthand.
- Work together with HaShomer HaChadash in farms to prevent a massive shortage in the Israeli market, ensuring that no farmer is left alone.
- Cook & pack meals for Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers.
- Rebuild Israel’s southern and now northern communities affected by October 7 by planting, cleaning, painting, and repairing.
- And more!
Travel:
Participants will work with our travel agent to book their flights. We only offer flights on EL AL to and from Israel. There is a $1,800 stipend for the ticket. Anything over that will be the student's responsibility. Traveland will also book domestic flights if needed. To connect with Traveland – you MUST complete THIS form within 5 business days of registration. Once the form is completed, Traveland will be in touch directly to complete the ticket process
Registration Fee:
All students will pay a non-refundable $360 registration fee. This $360 registration fee will automatically be applied to your $2,200 fundraising goal.
Fundraising:
Each participant is responsible for raising a minimum of $2,200 from at least 5 unique donors for JNF-USA's Israel Resilience Campaign which is dedicated to rehabilitating the South of Israel. Your fundraising page is created upon registration.
