12 days of war. 12 days of urgency.
Twelve days of response will just be the beginning. As Israel stands up against terror directed at our homeland and people, Jewish National Fund-USA continues to support the land and people of with our rebuilding efforts.
Yesterday, we were building bomb shelters that mothers, fathers, daughters, and sons are now running for on a far-to-regular basis. Today, we are on the ground, offering childcare for essential workers, aiding the elderly, providing fire trucks and equipment for emergency needs. And we will still be there tomorrow, for whatever the people of Israel need next.
Immediate funding has been distributed in support of:
- Vital mobile command and logistics center in Be'er Sheva
- Ongoing support for Israel's Fire & Rescue Authority
- Catering food for displaced residents (whose homes were destroyed by rocket attacks)
- Operating child-friendly playrooms for families and leading educational activities, and providing childcare for essential workers and reservists' families
- Supporting ADI Negev-Nahalat Eran, which absorbed the rehabilitation patients of Soroka Hospital, with safe room tools, supplementary staff, emergency transportation
- Supplying first responders and civil defense teams with emergency equipment including rescue vests, medical equipment, emergency vehicles
- Support for over 3,000 evacuees who left Central Israel for regions including Eshkol, Mitzpe Ramon, and others
- Providing temporary housing for Be'er Sheva residents at our Alexander Muss High School in Israel campus
- Bomb shelters and safe rooms
- Trauma support
- Senior citizen assistance, helping elderly residents reach shelters and cope with confinement
- Forum of Hostages
