Real Estate Leaders Honored at Leonard Litwin New York City Real Estate Tree of Life® Gala

NEW YORK, June 27, 2024— Over 300 New York real estate professionals attended Jewish National Fund-USA’s Leonard Litwin New York City Real Estate Tree of Life® Gala at Gustavino's in Manhattan to honor two industry leaders for their invaluable leadership and philanthropic endeavors.

Chaired by Glen Weiss of Vornado Realty Trust, the prestigious annual real estate reception honored Tree of Life® Award recipient Neil J. Goldmacher, Chairman, National Tenant Representation, Newmark. He joined the firm in 1995 as a Senior Managing Director and became a Principal in 2000. Goldmacher was previously associated with Williams Real Estate Co. and is a dedicated philanthropist and long-time supporter of Jewish National Fund-USA, the leading philanthropic organization for the land and people of Israel.

“When I was chosen to be this year’s honoree, I could not have imagined standing in front of you today, in the middle of a war on Israel, where Jewish students on some college campuses feel intimidated, and where there is blatant antisemitism in our own backyard,” said Goldmacher. “Israel and the American Jewish community face serious challenges in the decade ahead. Your investment tonight is ensuring the next generation is connected to Israel and that the Jewish People always have a home. This is why I support Jewish National Fund-USA.”

The event also honored Scott Nadler, Vice President of Lending, CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC., as the recipient of the Gregory A. Davis Leadership Award, which recognizes young philanthropists between the ages of 22 and 40.

Nadler has been ranked in the top 1% of mortgage originators nationally nine years in a row, and established industry publications such as Mortgage Executive Magazine, the Scotsman Guide, Mortgage Origination News, and The Real Deal have featured Nadler as a leading mortgage professional.

Philanthropically, Nadler is a co-founder of Jewish National Fund-USA’s New York Real Estate Cabinet and is on the organization’s Housing Development Fund Task Force, which removes red tape and speeds up the development of housing sites in Israel’s Negev and Galilee.

“These are dark times, but there is hope, and Jewish National Fund-USA has shown us that,” said Nadler. “Shortly after October 7, Jewish National Fund-USA unveiled its Israel Resilience Campaign and has raised over $60M to provide the infrastructure and quality of life needed to allow Israel Envelope (formerly known as the Gaza Envelope) residents to feel safe coming home. We are going to build back all of the communities that were decimated, and they are going to be stronger than ever.”

Special guests at the soirée included Alon Davidi, the mayor of the southern Israeli city of Sderot, and four residents of Hamas-ravaged Kibbutz Be’eri. As survivors of the October 7 attacks on their kibbutz, the representatives were in the United States to raise awareness about the realities on the ground in Israel, raise funds to rebuild their community, and expedite the hostages’ return.

David R. Greenbaum of Vornado Realty Trust and Jeffrey E. Levine of Douglaston Development served as the event’s honorary chairs.
